A Man with Blue Eyes

by Gayatri Galav, 15, New York, New York

He sat arms folded and lips pursed,
His bright blue shaggy eyes
Lit the dim pub.
His brow furrowed,
Forming a thin line underlining
His forehead.
Apparently
In concentration,
His back caved outward,
Shouldering a head
Dropping,
Tapping his fingers to a
Queer rhythm,
He stared.
Ignoring the hushed whispers
Ablazing the room,
Fixing his burning icy eyes
Frigidly on the green glowing glass
Outlining the wrinkles
On his sagging face,
He lifted the cup to his dried lips,
And sipped.
