Freeze by Chelsea Wozniak, 14, Blythwood, South Carolina I just want to freeze the world, Freeze the pain that blinds my eyes, Freeze the tears that fall from my face, Freeze the time, so I can start anew. Everywhere I go, people stare. People point and people laugh. I just want to freeze them, Freeze so I can run. I just want to freeze the world, To close the arms that do not welcome me. I want to freeze the smiling faces around me So I can stare at them before they vanish. I want to freeze the misery I feel, Unfreeze the frozen crystals hanging from the trees, So they can live, and run down the bark, So they can feed the grass, and maybe something will grow. |
